Hello Aqua Sun blog readers, today’s blog is about our food sanitization products. Food sanitization is a huge issue with today’s farm grown foods because a lot of chemicals are being used as a rinse agent. So taking the extra step and re-rinsing food is very important.
“Ready to Eat” fruits and vegetables can still be contaminated with bacteria. If you think about it, the produce was washed at the packaging facility, then transferred to a grocery store, then placed on a shelf for an unknown period of time. “Ready to Eat” lettuce has been linked to salmonella and listeria outbreaks. So even if it says ready to eat, always rinse it. You may be asking yourself “but how can I be sure the bacteria is gone?” By rinsing your produce with tap water – you cannot be sure. Read more to find out what you can do to help protect you and your loved ones.
With our food sanitization products you get multiple benefits. For example, have you seen our Nature Kleen Berry video? In that video we do a demonstration on sanitizing berries with our Nature Kleen. The following videos in the series show the amazing weekly progress. We filmed the berry video over a 9 day period. Normally berries tend to get mushy after the firsts 2 days of sitting in your refrigerator. Take a look at the video to see what happens when the berries are rinsed with ozone water. This series will be linked below for your viewing.
The Nature Kleen will keep your fruits and vegetables fresh for a longer period of time, because it kills E.Coli, salmonella, listeria, mold, and the list goes on. The Nature Kleen isn’t the only product we carry that has the power to do those things. Our Veggie Kleen, Travel Kleen, and UTC 1000 have the power to sanitize all your farm grown foods and will prolong the standard shelf life. These products will not only sanitize your fruits and vegetables but it will also sanitize poultry, fish, and beef.
Remember, it is always important to rinse your farm grown foods even if the package says “Ready to Eat.”
Next week, we will be working on our next video series. If you have any suggestions on what product to feature please submit your suggestions on our Facebook or twitter using #ASOVideoSeries.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
